A Proof of Concept, or PoC, is about answering one question quickly: can this idea work well enough to justify further investment? AWS is well suited to PoC delivery because it allows teams to build, test, measure, and discard solutions without committing to long procurement cycles, permanent infrastructure, or large upfront costs.

Speed

One of the biggest advantages of using AWS for a PoC is speed. Instead of waiting for physical servers, networking, storage, security tooling, or database platforms to be procured and configured, teams can provision cloud services on demand. A small team can quickly assemble a working environment using services such as Amazon S3 for storage, AWS Lambda for serverless compute, Amazon API Gateway for APIs, Amazon RDS or DynamoDB for data, and Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring. ST Engineering

ST Engineering worked with AWS Envision Engineering on a four-month PoC for a cloud-based robotic fleet management system. NewDay

NewDay turned a hackathon idea into a focused Amazon Bedrock PoC. A three-person team ran eight experiment cycles in ten weeks, progressed to a ten-agent pilot, and improved accuracy to more than 90%.
